Spicy Egg Gravy

Ingredients :

Egg
4
Onion(Medium size)
2
Tomato
3
Green chillies
4
Ginger Garlic Paste
1 tsp
Coriander Powder
2 tsp
Garam Masala
1 tsp
Turmeric Powder
½ tsp
Egg Masala(Store Bought)
1 tsp(Optional)
Red Chilli Powder
1 tbsp
Cloves
3
Cinnamon Stick
½ inch stick
Bay Leaves
2
Curry Leaves
1 sprig
Coriander Leaves
For Garnishing
Sesame oil
1 tbsp


Steps :

  • Boil eggs until done. Cool it and remove the shells and slit on all sides using a knife.

  • Heat oil in a pan,when hot add cumin seeds,cloves,bay-leaves and cinnamon once it splutters add ginger garlic paste fry for a sec then add finely chopped onions fry well till transparent.

  • Then add green chillies and curry leaves fry for another 2 mins. Meanwhile chop the tomatoes and make a puree of it.

  • Once onions are soft and transparent add tomato puree mix well and cook for 5 mins in a medium flame.

  • Then add turmeric powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder,salt and egg masala saute well let it cook till oil separates.

  • Then add 1 cup water and bring to boil on a medium flame.

  • Once gravy starts thickens add the slitted eggs and cook till oil seprates.Garnish with coriander leaves and switch off the stove.

  • Serve hot with roti or parathas.

Notes :

  • You can also slit into halves and add it to gravy.
  • The color depends on the chilli powder
