Panner Tikka

Paneer tikka is an Indian dish made from chunks of paneer marinated in spices and grilled in a tandoor. It is a vegetarian alternative to chicken tikka and other meat dishes.

Ingredients :

Panner
250 gms
Capsicum / Bell Pepper
1
Tomato
1
Onion
1
Hung Curd
½ cup
Ginger Garlic Paste
1 tbsp
kashmiri red chili powder
3 tsp
Turmeric Powder
A pinch
Garam Masala
1 tsp
Chat Masala
1 tsp
Amchur Powder / Mango Powder
1 tsp
Orange Food color(Optional)
A pinch
Kasoori Methi(optional) Crushed
1 tsp
Lemon Juice
1 tbsp
Salt
As Needed
Oil
For Brusing

Steps :

  1. Chop Panner,capsicum, tomato and onion into medium sized squares and keep it ready.
  2. In a mixing bowl add hung curd,ginger-garlic past,salt,lemon juice and all other spices mix together well.
  3. Now Mix the panner, capsicum, tomato and onion with marinated ingredients and marinate for one hour or more in the refrigerator.
  4. After an hour skewer the veggies and paneer alternately on skewers or tooth picks.
  5. Pre-heat the oven at 180c or Gas Mark 5.
  6. Arrange the Skewers in a backing tray or wire racks brush with oil and bake for 20 mins or till gets cooked.Turning the skewers in-between for even cooking.
  7. Panner Tikka is ready serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
Note :


  • Hang 1/2 cup curd in a muslin cloth or any thin cloth for an hour to make the required hung curd.
  • You can toast the marinated panner in tawa also.

  5. Looks very good. Tikkas are my fav and I also prepare in a similar way but skip amchoor if I add lemon juice.
