Methi Paratha is a famous Punjabi breakfast dish. My friend sheetal introduced this dish to me during my college days. This is a very tasty dish and I am sure kids will love this one. Whenever I see fresh methi in grocery store, my mind will think about preparing methi paratha. I thank sheetal for introducing this wonderful dish to me :)
Ingredients :
Wheat
Flour
|
1 Cup
|
Fenugreek / Methi Leaves
|
½ cup
|
Turmeric
Powder
|
1 tsp
|
Chilli
Powder
|
2 tsp
|
Salt
|
As
Needed
|
Cumin
/ Jeera Seeds
|
1 tsp
|
Oil
|
1 tsp
|
Steps :
- Wash and drain the Methi leaves completely..
- Chop the leaves finely and keep it aside.
- In a bowl add flour,chopped leaves,turmeric powder,chilli powder,cumin seeds,salt and oil mix well.
- Add water and make a smooth dough keep it close for 15 mins.
- Then make a small balls and roll the dough balls into medium size paratas.
- Heat a tawa and and put the rolled out paratas on it and cook for a minute.
- When bubbles start appearing, flip it over to the other side. Let the other side also get cooked.
- Serve hot with raitas are any side dish of your choice.
