Green Peas Paratha / Matar Paratha

Last week I saw lots of fresh peas in indian shops,so I planned to prepare
lot of dishes with peas. This dish is  one among those.Green peas paratha
is a nutritious flat bread with peas stuffing.Stuffed parathas are very
easy to make once you learnt rolling .It is very delicious and easy to make
and perfect for dinner. It can be served either with pickles or curd.

Turmeric Powder
1 tsp
Mango Powder / Amchur Powder
1 tsp
Gram Masala
½ tsp
Asafoetida / Hing
A Pinch

Steps

For the Filling

  • Pressure cook peas with ½ cup water and salt for 1 whistle.Drain the water and keep it aside.

  • Grind green chilli and ginger first roughly and then add the green peas grind coarsely.

For the stuffing

  • Take wheat flour in a wide bowl add salt, ajwain seeds and water and mix with water and make it into a soft dough.

  • Divide it into 6 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
  • Roll each ball into a small circle.Place the filling in the center and bring all the edges together and pinch to seal.

  • Roll out the stuffed ball into a disc. Roll it gently otherwise the stuffing will come out of the dough.

  • Cook on both sides until golden spots appear, with oil drizzled over.

  15. I love this Green peas Parantha Saranya, this is kindof staple at our place. But I make it slightly different way.. I dont blend it for starters and I add Panch Phoran in the stuffing for a very unusual taste
