Whole Green Gram Dal Sabzi/Pachai Payaru Sabzi

Need to make something quick and your head is blank with little to no ideas swarming around? Try this quick recipe that is rich in protein and goes well with white rice or even with roti. Here comes simple, healthy and tasty recipe with whole green gram.


Ingredients :

Whole Green Gram dal
1 cup
Onion
1
Tomato
1
Garlic
4 Pods
Green chilli
4
Corriander seeds
1 tsp
Cumin seeds
1 tsp
Curry leaves
1 sprig
Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp
Oil
2 tsp
Salt
As per Taste


Steps:


  • In kadai dry roast the Moong dal till nice aroma comes approximately 5mins.
  • After it cools down pressure cook the dal with chopped tomato,turmeric powder,salt and needed water for 2 whistles.
  • Meantime In kadai add the chopped onions, garlic,with tsp of oil fry for 2 mins then add crushed coriander seeds,cumin seeds and green chillies together fry till nice aroma comes..
  • Add the fried onion into the dal and cook till gets mushy...
  • Allow the pressure cooker to cool down; open, mash the dal with a ladle partially.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves..
